Our mission is to provide affordable, fun and engaging informal learning opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and career pathways. We accomplish this by leveraging resources such as drones, Lego robotics, 3d printers, makerspace projects and science experiments.
About STEM Education Experience
Inspiring Change
Started by a dedicated and visionary teacher back in 2018, STEM Education Experience (S.E.E) is one response to existing disparities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics ("STEM") education. S.E.E is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers fun and engaging STEM programs for kids of all ages. We offer summer camps, after school programs and Saturday STEM workshops. Our informal learning environment incorporates robotics, 3D printers, drones, science activities and experiments to develop our students! We are constantly growing and adapting to the changes of society and invite you to learn more about STEM Education Experience.
Impact
The ultimate goals of STEM Education Experience are to empower young minds, encourage children, and to expose students, especially from underserved groups to different aspects of science that they may not be aware of. We want to establish a fun learning environment so that students will develop a STEM identity and build self-efficacy by having the desire to continue exploring, researching and learning on their own. This transformation will create generations of new thinkers, problem solvers and creators.
We want students to have a healthy positive mindset about STEM concepts so that they become more involved in STEM careers. Diversifying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of professionals offers varying perspectives which will create healthier solutions to the nation's economic problems. Our impact will increase representation of people from underserved communities in the STEM workforce, and increase wealth in underserved communities, thus, allowing for greater resources for the next generation of learners.
STEM Education Experience fosters a collaborative environment not only among participants within the program, but also as a part of the greater community. Our aim is that students will begin to understand the importance of investing in their community and concurrently, community businesses will be personally invested in the success of their schools. We rely on the community to support our business, whether they sponsor a child, allow their children to participate in our programs, donate resources, or help us connect with communities in need and communities with similar interests to ours.
